Lisa grew up around the family business, watching her father Don Roper build the firm from the ground up at their home in Hampshire – where Don Roper Accountant still operates today. After starting her career in banking, Lisa returned to her roots and joined the family practice, where she discovered a natural talent for numbers and client care.
Over 30 years later, Lisa now leads the business carrying forward her father’s legacy while modernising the firm for today’s digital world.

Lisa has guided the business through major shifts in the accountancy world – from Making Tax Digital and cloud software to the rise of online and service-based businesses. Her mission is not just to keep clients compliant, but to disrupt the traditional view of accountants as distant or overly technical. She believes accountancy should be approachable, down-to-earth, and genuinely helpful.
